Thomas Vanek is overrated so far this season, i wonder why?

4 goals in 16 games, and how much is he getting paid again? oh thats right he's getting paid more than joe thornton, jarome iginla, vincent lecavalier, and even crosby. I was saying it all damn summer, '' 43 goals is good, but when you consider he had daniel briere and chris drury right beside him, great but its not like we haven't seen a 40 goal scorer before right''( by the way last year at this time he had 11 goals and 22points.)

HEY BUDDY!! Yeah, you above me. Thomas Vanek might suck *** NOW, but he was ******* fabulous when he played for the Gophers. He lead the team in goals in the 02-03 season and he scored the GWG in the NCAA finals that year. He scored the most points ever as a freshman for Minnesota and was the first freshman ever to be named their MVP. Plus he was the Frozen Four MVP. ALL AS A FRESHMAN. Not because he was overrated, but because he was good. Really good. You can't ''overrate'' goals. You either score them or you don't. And he did. But that was college hockey, and this is the NHL. Totally different ball.... er... puck game. I agree that his talent MAY have been a tiny bit overestimated... and his paycheck may be a little... okay, A LOT larger than it should be. But who's fault is that? Hmmmmm? So, he's not the type of forward that can carry an NHL franchise alone (which has been made blatanly obvious so far this year), but don't you dare go dissin' ''Minnesota Vanek'' because you have absolutely NO IDEA what you're talking about.
